About the build
At 1.38 stack-to-reach, the riding position sits at the more upright end for a mountain bike. The biggest component contrast is between the frame and the wheels — Performance- vs. Core-tier. The drivetrain isn't uniform: the rear derailleur at Balanced-tier pulls the group below its Performance-tier parts. A short 1155 mm wheelbase makes the bike quick and easy to throw around. The price is among the lowest for mountain bikes with a comparable component level.
